About us

We are a group of like-minded individuals from different walks of life, who are passionate about doing our bit for the society.

Migrants from UP and Bihar in search of employment are living in a highly congested slum for over 4 decads.
Living conditions are sub-standard with no sanitation. The government has provided only two water tanks that caters entire slum.
Men work mainly as drivers or labourers and women often work as maids or domestic help.
There is social issue of gambling and alcohol abuse amongst men and substance abuse by teenage boys.
The boys are usually engaged in collecting wood, fetching water and afternoon employment such as watering gardens and delivering pamphlets to homes.
At times the children only get a meal of rice interspersed with salt making the need for nourished food all the more relevant.
Children usually have one parent due to alcoholism and drug abuse.
Since there is little or no awareness about significance of education, most children do not attend schools. Hence the need to ensure education.
